Google Message Security, powered by Postini is the virus, spam and email security service offered by Google. It can be purchased as a stand alone service but is included in the Google Apps for Business core package.
Message Security works with Google Apps mail to provide:
- Content and attachment filters, which you can create to enforce your company's policies for inbound or outbound messages
- Outbound messages footers, that you can customize for different groups of users in your Google Apps account
- Support for TLS encryption to set up secure connections for inbound and outbound mail connections
- Another layer of spam and virus filtering, in addition to the filtering that Google Apps already provides
- The Message Center, which lets users manage their quarantined messages and set up their own approved and blocked senders lists
